As we celebrate the year of the Art Deco movement in March, the BANAD Festival returns to Brussels-Capital for a ninth edition in style. For three weekends, from March 15 to 30, 2025, you can visit emblematic sites in the European capital that are often inaccessible to the public. With visits to venues open exclusively for the occasion, themed guided tours and new features, we reveal the key points of the 2025 program.
Art Deco and Art Nouveau sites usually closed to the public open their doors to you
In honor of the centenary of the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris, we’re celebrating 2025 as the Year of Art Deco. The program for this year’s BANAD Festival highlights this emblematic stylistic phenomenon. New for 2025, the public can look forward to the exceptional openings of the Averbouch and Slagmolder houses, the former Electrorail headquarters and the Orthodox Synagogue in Anderlecht.
The Hotel Solvay, the Hotel Tassel and the Hotel Max Hallet are also very much in demand. The Maison Saint-Cyr and the Maison Cauchie will also be open. Villas include the Villa Empain and the Villa Collart-Van Gobbelschroy. Other noteworthy buildings include the Résidence Palace, the Clockarium, the former workshops of master glassmaker Colpaert, and the churches of Sainte-Suzanne and Saint-Augustin.
In all, some sixty buildings of varying typologies will be open to visitors from March 15 to 30, 2025 (3 weekends: March 15-16, March 22-23, March 29-30).
