As we announced last July, Edenya will soon be opening its doors in Brugelette, in the heart of Pairi Daiza. This colossal project, covering an area of 4 hectares, will house the largest tropical greenhouse in the world. It will combine a lush jungle, a desert, an ocean, and an immersive water park. When it opens on February 7, 2026, visitors will be able to observe more than 230 species of exotic animals, both terrestrial and aquatic, and 1,800 species of plants, without ever disturbing them!
So, what can you expect from this new adventure? Bruxelles Secrète tells you more about Pairi Daiza’s future tropical greenhouse with underwater hotel and restaurant. After welcoming 2.9 million visitors in 2025—an 8.1% increase over the previous year—is the animal park set to break a new record in 2026 with the opening of Edenya?
Edenya Pairi Daiza: a giant, immersive tropical greenhouse just a stone’s throw from Brussels
As you can see, the future Edenya tropical greenhouse promises a true sensory journey. Under a giant 4-hectare glass roof, visitors will be able to stroll through a setting combining jungle, desert, and ocean. The immersion will be total (and guilt-free) thanks to a design that allows visitors to observe the animals without disturbing them.
In terms of natural features, this 4-hectare glass roof will house a jungle with landscapes worthy of the equatorial belt, lush tropical forests, and canopy areas. There will also be aquatic areas with crystal-clear rivers, waterfalls (including one reaching a height of 17 meters), and a tropical beach.

A suspension bridge will also offer spectacular views of the entire new world. Another nice surprise is that visitors will be able to discover a butterfly territory presented as one of the largest in Europe with 750 species.
In terms of fauna and flora, curious visitors will discover areas for jaguars, Caribbean manatees, pygmy hippopotamuses, Komodo dragons, and various species of monkeys (drills, squirrel monkeys, guenons). Plants are not left out, with rare species such as the coco de mer, descendants of the Buddha tree, and rare orchids.
Accommodation, restaurants, and water park: a new temple of immersive tourism
Edenya will not be limited to a simple greenhouse. The project will include an underwater hotel, also billed as the largest in the world, which will comprise 88 rooms, including suites with direct views of lagoons populated by manatees, sharks, and rays.

The Abyss, Pairi Daiza’s unique underwater restaurant, will allow you to eat while admiring manatees, fish, and sharks. A most unusual dining experience. We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to discover this new animal sanctuary!
