There are concepts that immediately evoke summer. Large tables stretching into the night, glasses clinking in a garden, and that delightful feeling of being exactly in the right place at the right time. This summer, Brussels’ Kitchen brings this idea to life with a series of pop-up dinners that have already become one of Brussels’ most sought-after food events.
A hidden greenhouse transformed into an ultra-exclusive restaurant
For just five Mondays, the Brussels food media takes over the spectacular greenhouse at L’Usine in Uccle to create a gastronomic experience that’s a cross between an intimate dinner and a mini culinary festival. The concept is simple yet incredibly effective : a single large table for 30 guests, a candlelit atmosphere, and chefs cooking live in the garden before the meal begins. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed withan aperitif amidst the greenery, featuring a few bites to share and a welcome drink in hand. Next , a six-course tasting menu takes center stage, highlighting plant-based ingredients and seafood, all presented with a creative and highly seasonal flair.
Fifteen of Brussels’ most prominent chefs
What makes these evenings particularly exciting is, above all , the lineup. Each date brings together three different chefs or concepts for a one-night-only collaboration. The lineup features some of the most talked-about names on Brussels’ new gastronomic scene, ranging from already iconic restaurants to up-and-coming projects that are making waves among the capital’s foodies. Tatar, Cosmos, Racines, Môme, Nightshop, and Grabuge are part of the lineup curated by Brussels’ Kitchen. The result: ever-changing six-handed menus , unexpected pairings, and an atmosphere that promises just as much on the plates as it does around the table.
The most coveted food spot of early summer
The success was immediate: the first reservations sold out in just a few hours. But all may not be lost for latecomers. Given the enthusiasm, Brussels’ Kitchen hints that new dates could still be announced in the coming weeks. In other words, it’s best to keep a close eye on their social media, because the next available spots (if there are any) are likely to disappear as quickly as a Lillet Spritz in the sun.
