Fête de l’Iris 2025: a free weekend not to be missed
Every spring, the Fête de l’Iris celebrates the Brussels-Capital Region with a festive program entirely free of charge. This year, May 3 and 4, 2025 mark the 36ᵉ anniversary of the region. It’s the perfect opportunity to bring Brussels residents and visitors together around a wide variety of events! Between concerts, street performances, exclusive tours and gastronomic discoveries, the capital is transformed into a huge cultural playground.
Saturday: from culture to electro bass
Saturday May 3 is all about exploration and celebration. Throughout Forest, Saint-Gilles, Molenbeek and Anderlecht, the curious will be able to push open the doors of emblematic places that are usually inaccessible. For example, the town hall in Forest or the synagogue in Anderlecht. At the same time, the streets will be alive with street performances and immersive experiences. But the highlight of the evening will be the Place des Palais. This will be transformed into a giant dancefloor for Iris Tipik Electro Night. This electro night, which has already conquered thousands of revellers in previous years, will feature renowned DJs such as Fatboy Slim, The Magician and Nathalie Duchene, promising a supercharged atmosphere until midnight.
Sunday: a festival for young and old
On Sunday, May 4, the heart of the festival will be in Parc de Bruxelles, where an entertainment village will take over the site. Open-air concerts, performances by street artists and interactive activities will punctuate this family-friendly day. The Kids Village will offer an area dedicated to the youngest visitors, while the Iris Market will showcase the expertise of Brussels’ craftsmen and designers. Heritage enthusiasts will also be able to enjoy an exceptional visit to the Brussels Parliament! And fans of soft mobility can join in the Kidical Mass bike parade. With so much going on, one thing’s for sure! This festive weekend will be one to remember for the people of Brussels and visitors alike.
