Thunder (and fire) in Boom. Just two days before the opening of Tomorrowland, the festival’s main stage caught fire in the late afternoon of Wednesday July 16. The gigantic set, the visual and symbolic heart of the world-famous electro event, was completely destroyed by flames.
Organizers quickly evacuated the 1,000 or so employees on site. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains undetermined. According to several sources, pyrotechnic tests were carried out just before the fire broke out, and detonations were heard shortly beforehand. An investigation is underway.
The festival will nevertheless go ahead, the organizers have confirmed. The DreamVille campsite will open as scheduled on Thursday, July 17, and the Global Journey experiences in Antwerp and Brussels are unaffected. The technical teams are actively working to find an alternative for the two planned festival weekends (July 18-20 and 25-27).
Tomorrowland 2025 line-up
Tomorrowland’ s summer edition promises to be another breathtaking one, with a line-up of world-renowned DJs. Among the most eagerly awaited artists are Dutch prodigy Martin Garrix, known for his electrifying hits, and the legendary Armin van Buuren, undisputed master of trance. EDM icon David Guetta promises an unforgettable show on the Mainstage. The return of Swedish House trio Mafia is already igniting passions, while Belgian brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, true icons of Tomorrowland, will be thrilling their native audience.
Hardwell and Steve Aoki will bring their boundless energy, followed by Afrojack and his prestigious collaborations. Tiësto, often dubbed the “Godfather of EDM”, will show why he remains an essential reference. Finally, Belgium’s Lost Frequencies will proudly represent the local deep house scene. This line-up promises to transform Boom into the global epicenter of electronic music for a magical weekend.
When do pre-sale tickets open?
The date is set. Techno music fans will be able to meet up from Friday July 18 to Sunday July 20, 2025 and from Friday July 25 to 27, 2025. As usual, the town of Boom, north of Brussels, will host the 2025 edition of Tomorrowland. Although the line-up has yet to be revealed, we do know the date for advance ticket sales. Residents of the Ruppelstreek region can order their tickets today.
Pre-sales for the whole of Belgium will open on January 25 at 11am. The rest of the world will then be able to get their tickets in presale on February 1, 2025 at 11am. If you have money to spare, you can buy a “Global Journey” pass (transport, accommodation and program) from January 18, 2025.

Prices range from 129 to 143 euros for a one-day ticket, and 304 to 374 euros for a three-day pass. Don’t forget to register before January 31, 2025, so you can buy your ticket for the summer edition of Tomorrowland! You’ll be able to join the 400,000 festival-goers from 200 countries at the 19th edition of the festival.
This year’s theme is “Orby”. As you can read on the festival website, it’s “a magical universe made of ice and populated by mythical creatures, who will lead visitors into the adventures of a hidden community that has resurfaced after many years”. Something to dream about! And for those who can’t make it, we hope it will be rebroadcast on Youtube.
