In the heart of a 250-hectare estate, the Grottes de Han and their animal park offer a rare immersion in the wilderness, one that allows you to take your time, that fascinates and overwhelms, like a journey out of time. This mythical place, which combines geology, biodiversity and technology, has preserved its authenticity while innovating, notably with Wild Immersion, a stunning virtual reality experience. The ideal spot for a getaway with family or friends. Since 2024, the site has also been recognized as Belgium’s very first UNESCO Global Geopark, an international distinction celebrating its exceptional geological and natural riches.
Grottes de Han, an underground cathedral sculpted by the river Lesse

The Grottes de Han are more than just caves: they’re among the most beautiful in Europe. And it’s the river Lesse itself that has patiently carved out this underground labyrinth over the millennia. To get there, you climb aboard a century-old wooden tramway, which winds slowly through the forest to the entrance to the chasm. From there, the magic begins.
Inside, the silence is breathtaking. You pass through majestic galleries and rooms with dizzying ceilings, such as the famous Salle d’Armes, 62 metres high, where a sound and light show makes the limestone forms dance. Everything is mineral, alive, yet frozen in time. A spectacular plunge into the bowels of the Earth, fascinating young and old alike.
A wildlife park unique in Belgium (and a stunning VR safari)

On leaving the caves, head for the Parc Animalier, a vast area of unspoilt nature that can be visited on foot or by panoramic safari bus. Here, you’ll come across European bison, Przewalski’s horses, brown bears, lynx and even packs of wolves, in conditions close to their natural habitat. Nothing to do with a conventional zoo, the animals live on large expanses of land, set against a backdrop of forests, cliffs and valleys.
But that’s not all: the Domaine also offers Wild Immersion, a 360° virtual reality experience that immerses you in the world’s ecosystems. In just a few minutes, you’ll be surrounded by gorillas in Africa, whales in the ocean or elephants in Asia, without leaving Wallonia. Bluffing, educational and totally immersive.
