Just like Paris, Brussels has a wealth of magnificent galleries and ornate covered passageways in which to stroll, sometimes strolling from one store to the next, and even settling down at a tasty restaurant. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, you’ll want to take a stroll under their glass roofs and take a photo! Here’s our selection!
1. Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert

In reality, the Galeries Saint-Hubert are not just one, but three magnificent galleries (the Galerie du Roi, the Galerie de la Reine and the Galerie des Princes) that are a must-see in Brussels! Opened in 1847 under the eye of architect J-P. Cluysenaar, they are among the oldest in Europe, and have been listed by UNESCO since 2008.
📍Address: Galerie du Roi 5, metro: Gare Centrale.
2. Galerie Bortier

Galerie Bortier is a little jewel hidden away in the Mont des Arts. Enter via rue de la Madeleine, and stroll through its luminous glass roof. Renovated in 2024, each arcade has been restored to its former glory and each brick to its former glory, while opening the way to new experiences. Between bookshops, cafés and gourmet addresses, it has reinvented itself as a place to nourish the mind as well as the taste buds.
📍Address: Rue de la Madeleine 55. Subway: Gare Centrale.
3. Passage du Nord

When it was created in 1881-1882, the Passage du Nord shopping arcade was intended to link boulevard Adolphe Max to rue Neuve, just as the major work on the vaulting of the river Senne was getting underway. The Passage du Nord, with its lights, statues and architectural complexity, is a must-see in Brussels.
📍Address: Rue Neuve 40, metro: De Brouckère.
4. Galerie Ravenstein

While the inner alley of the Galerie Ravenstein isn’t all that exceptional, the final stop (the mall’s incredible interior) will amaze you with its gigantic glass-brick dome that seems to merge with the sky. Don’t hesitate to take a look at the ceilings of the north-west entrance and their astral frescoes…
📍Address: Rue Ravenstein 18. Subway: Gare Centrale.
5. Galerie Anspach

The Galerie Anspach is an architectural marvel. In addition to its immense ceiling height, its large glass roof, symmetrical shapes and reflective discs give it a unique modern charm embellished by strong luminosity. Whether it’s a shopping spree or just a visit, Galerie Anspach is the place to be!
📍Address: Bd Anspach 24. Metro: De Brouckère.
