Monet: The Immersive Experience
ClaudeMonet‘s timeless work has the power to transport anyone who admires it to a unique bucolic universe: his gardens at Giverny. With their Norman clos, water garden, Japanese bridge and wisteria, they represent his primary source of inspiration.
Good news: the people of Liège now have the opportunity to discover them, too, in a cultural installation never before seen in Belgium. Monet: The Immersive Experience opens the doors to the painter’s gardens in a multi-sensory experience with a springtime decor to match. From wall to floor, the iconic Église Saint-Pholien is bathed in the light of Claude Monet ‘s work .
A unique digital experience
The exhibition/experience is organized by Exhibition Hub – creators of Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience – and offers an opportunity to discover Monet’s work in a 2.0 version.
A perfect blend of art and technology, thanks to a device combining video-mapping projections and virtual reality, it allows visitors to cross the Japanese bridge while watching the water lilies shimmering in the pond, to see fish glide by, to see trees swaying in the gentle breeze, to take in fields of poppies, to capture the changing light ofhaystacks… All without leaving Liège.
More than just a contemplative experience, this workshop also invites participants to try their hand at Impressionisttechniques. Dotted lines, jerky brushstrokes of all colors juxtaposed… Budding artists have the opportunity to put theory into practice by creating their own work of art.
