Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience in Liège
Yes, because this isn’t just a regular exhibition, it’s a 360-degree experience. Indeed, the latest state-of-the-art digital projection technology invites us to immerse ourselves in the artist’s work as if we were part of a painting, comfortably seated in deckchairs, or in free movement.
The show begins! Vincent Van Gogh’s most iconic works line the walls and litter the floor, as we virtually walk through Starry Night and sunflower fields.
In all, more than 200 of the doomed painter’s masterpieces are brought to life in strikingly realistic interactive tableaux by 10 high-definition digital projectors. A second interactive room follows the chronology of the artist’s life. A fascinating experience!
For an even more immersive experience, enter a life-size 3D reconstruction of La Chambre à Arles, the perfect backdrop to immortalize the experience with a selfie. Bonus: you can touch some of the works, and even take part in a drawing workshop to try and reproduce your own painting in the style of Van Gogh. But that’s not all! The icing on the cake: a virtual reality experience based around eight emblematic paintings awaits you.
If you’d like to take part in Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, head to the Église Saint-Pholien on January 30 for a real treat!
