The site’s destiny took shape in the Middle Ages when the “Grand Vevy,” or Grand Étang de Fosses, first came into being. Used for centuries, this body of water has endured through the ages until, in the 1950s, it became the true “local sea ” for families in the region. To trace the history of this epic journey, simply step inside the old fisherman’s house, a charming English-style building that houses a historical exhibition and the “Aqua Bon?! ” educational trail dedicated to water-related issues.
