As the weather cools, the appearance of little monsters and ghosts means that Halloween is just around the corner! And just as we’ve celebrated the start of autumn, the Pumpkinmania pumpkin festival is the ideal date for an outing with family and friends. Held at the Château de Grand-Bigard, this weekly event offers a multitude of activities to please children of all ages. Soup stalls and pumpkin-based culinary creations, pumpkin carving and carving workshops… We reveal the program of festivities!
Pumpkinmania welcomes you to an incredible pumpkin festival near Brussels
Until Sunday, November 2, 2025, the Pumpkinmania pumpkin festival will be held at the Château de Grand-Bigard , just 20 minutes from Brussels. On the program for this event in honor of cucurbits are a host of activities, each more entertaining than the last. This year’s theme is “The Romans“, and you’ll be able to discover many pumpkin sculptures representing this world. Gladiators, pumpkin Julius Caesar and Roman columns await you!
Other activities include a pumpkin boat ride, live pumpkin carving by renowned artists, and pumpkin weighing. And if all this has whetted your appetite, you can break a crust at the Pumpkinmania Cuisine and discover pumpkin cooked in all its forms. Pumpkin soup with spices, pumpkin fries with a touch of sweet chestnut, the “Pumpkipanini” panini or pumpkin falafel. A real treat!
A not-to-be-missed Halloween party near Brussels
From October 25 to November 2, 2025, Pumpkimania swaps its golden pumpkins for a darker, more chilling atmosphere. Every evening, from 6 to 9 p.m., a one-kilometer Halloween trail takes visitors through a décor inhabited by animated puppets, light shows and eerie sound effects.
Good news: if you already have a day ticket, the nighttime stroll is included. Otherwise, evening admission starts at €12 per person. Witches, monsters and budding ghosts are of course invited to slip into their most terrifying (or amusing) costumes to enjoy this haunted edition. It’s the perfect way to see life in shades of orange, white and green!
