If, like us, you’re a fan of good cider, here’s a recipe for Bourbon apple cider with a touch of cinnamon that’s sure to be the star cocktail this winter!
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 3 to 4 hours
Ingredients
For several cocktails
- About 6 cups apple cider
- 1/4 cup simple syrup or sugar syrup
- 1 lemon
- 1 orange
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 star anises (badianes)
- 8 whole cloves (optional)
- 1.5 cups bourbon
- 1 additional cinnamon stick (for final presentation)
The recipe
Pre-cut the fruit and cloves (fruit salad style).
Add all ingredients except bourbon to slow cooker/marmite and stir.
Cover and simmer on low heat for 3 to 4 hours.
Stir in bourbon.
Pour into cups and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
