Opened in mid-August 2020, Bap & Dak is the new sensation in the heart of Ixelles, with a focus on Korean cuisine. Here, we embark immediately for the best flavors of Seoul, thanks to a deliciously gourmet menu and a concept – that of a genuine Korean counter (with dishes to share) – that awakens all our curiosities.
In a welcoming, uncluttered and luminous setting, chef Stefaan, recently arrived from London, offers tasty dishes cooked with passion that will delight your taste buds. Fresh produce, traditional recipes… lovers of Asian cuisine – or novices! – can enjoy the famous bibimbap (a typical dish made with rice, meat and seasoned vegetables sprinkled with an egg) and fried chicken inseparable from Korean gastronomy ( veggie versions are available!). All in compositions to share!
You’ll also discover pajeon (a tasty pancake with onion and kimchi), crispy tofu served in spicy sauce or soy honey (yum!), as well as gourmet garnishes: pickled radish (chikin mu), invigorating seaweed salad (miyeok muchim) and even braised lotus shoots (yeongeun jorim), a must!
When it comes to drinks, you’ll be tempted by a selection of beers from local breweries: Wunder Lager, Jungle Joy, la Surréaliste, la Jambe-de-Bois, Pico Bello and more. As for prices, expect to pay €15 to €19 for a bibimbap, €3 to €3.50 for a side dish and €4 to €4.50 for a beer (33cl bottle). As for soft drinks, try the unusual “Simone a soif” (what a name!) and its rhubarb/lavender or apple/geranium juice combinations.
