In September, Brussels doesn’t just turn the pages: it brings them to life in large format. The BD Comic Strip Festival returns to Tour & Taxis, and this 2025 edition promises a kaleidoscope of images, stories and unusual experiences. Ready to step into the bubbles?
Comics take up residence at Tour & Taxis

From September 26 to 28, the Gare Maritime is transformed into a paradise for lovers of the ninth art. On site, visitors will be able to browse through book signings, workshops, original exhibitions and meetings with artists from all over the world. Children won’t be forgotten either: fun activities and a manga universe will be added to the program, not forgetting the impressive inflatable balloons overlooking the aisles.
Competitions, winks and graphic nuggets
The festival may be free, but it’s no less generous. Starting in September, a “Panini”-style collector’s album will keep even the most inquisitive fans waiting, with an unusual competition to win your weight in comics. And on the creative side, the Atomium 2025 Awards will recognize the year’s most outstanding works, with two new prizes dedicated to heritage and graphic design.
A poster, exhibitions and a new lease of life

This year’s poster bears the delicate signature of Alix Garin, a rising star of Belgian comics. Exhibitions are set to be varied and abundant. A tribute to Fluide Glacial, the world of Guerre des Lulus and a focus on Dutch-language creation. More than a festival, it’s a stroll through imaginary worlds, where every stand, every bubble and every box opens a door to other worlds.
