Sunday may be a day of rest for some, but for us it’s a day of brunch! And because the Belgian capital has so many gourmet addresses to offer, we’ve put together a selection of our seven favorite brunches!
La fabrique en ville: 100% homemade brunch
Great service, tasty dishes, affordable prices, warm atmosphere and homemade food! We loved the brunch at La fabrique en ville. Cinnamon rolls, blueberry pancakes, caramelized pears and walnuts, avocado toast or banana bread… the products are fresh and full of flavor! It’s also a great place to go for lunch or dinner during the week.
📍Location: Parc d’Egmont, Boulevard Waterloo 25
Le Poz: pancake heaven
Whether you prefer sweet or savory, it doesn’t matter at Poz! Absolutely everything is delicious, so much so that you’ll want to go back every week to try it all! In a relaxed, tropical atmosphere, this restaurant is also the perfect place to relax. Be sure to try their speciality pancakes (sweet and savoury) or one of their succulent toastas. The burrata one is divine. Please note, they don’t take reservations!
📍Location: Rue Defacqz 92
Barsey by Warwick: a generous brunch in a dream setting
Endless dishes, live cooking, hot and cold buffets, a dream setting reminiscent of a Greek palace… We have nothing but praise for the Barsey by Warwick’s brunch, which in our opinion is the most copious, well-stocked and generously-stocked brunch in the whole of Brussels. It’s served every last Sunday of the month, and we’re telling you all about it right here!
📍Location: Av. Louise 381-383 (last Sunday of the month only)
Woodpecker 47: English-style brunch or with waffles
We love to fill our bellies, but not just on Sundays! And Woodpecker 47’s brunch is available all week long! Located rue du Marché aux Poulets, this brunch offers a choice of English-style formulas (poached eggs, avocado toast…) or savoury waffles (chorizo, cheddar, truffle cream). Soup or salad on the side!
📍Location: Rue du Marché aux Poulets 47
Café de la Presse: three brunches to suit all tastes
Why settle for one brunch when you can choose from three? With “Presse”, expect the essentials: pastries, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs and toast. The Booster option offers beet yogurt with granola/fruit salad, avocado toast and scrambled eggs. Finally, the Nordic option features avocado, smoked salmon, cream cheese and toast. Yummy!
📍Location: Avenue Louise 493
Kosto: brunch overlooking the canal
At Kosto, you’ll find brunch staples like avocado toast, as well as delicious homemade granola, tuna melt sandwiches and Italian frittata. For sweet tooths, a selection of croissants, cinnamon rolls and cakes are available. And all in this superb canal-side café!
📍Location: 35 Quai des Péniches
Wasbar: brunch in a laundromat
The most unusual brunch in the capital! We tell you more about Wasbar, the downtown laundromat-café that’s revolutionizing Brussels, in this article. The place offers two brunch formulas: the first, “Like a Star” (smoked salmon, cream cheese, granola, pastries…) and the second, “Like a Royal” (hummus, avocado, sweet potato, granola and vegan Danish pastries). A must-try!
