For three days, the Kanal – Centre Pompidou is transformed into a cultural playground, where books, fanzines and printed objects come to life in the aisles. Between artist encounters, unexpected discoveries and an ultra-friendly atmosphere, this independent publishing fair – co-organized with the Paris Ass Book Fair – promises a joyful and curious immersion .
Brussels Ass Book Fair – a unique opportunity to discover books and independent creations

With 55 exhibitors from Belgium and abroad, this fair brings together independent publishers, artists, creative collectives and enthusiasts of unusual printed objects. Browse through rare publications, discover graphic manifestos, irresistible mini-books and experimental works on paper… all in a light-hearted, curious and inclusive spirit.
The fair also invites you to support the Refuge LGBTQI+ through a tombola, with the chance to walk away with a unique piece created by Ad Minoliti, an original souvenir to take home. The mission is simple: to celebrate creativity and benevolence while sharing a joyful moment with the public.
A festive and inclusive fair that brings Kanal to life

In terms of atmosphere, this is far from a simple fair – it’s a creative festivalwhere things are happening all the time. Friday evening sets the tone with a festive, musical opening party, perfect for feeling the energy of the place and meeting artists and exhibitors.
Over the weekend, Kanal becomes a veritable cultural hive – participatory workshops , flash tattoos , conversations, readings, book launches and DJ sets follow one another in a joyful, inquisitive atmosphere. We move from one activity to the next, exploring, exchanging and being surprised – a true moment of inspiration and discovery.
Here, you don’t follow a program, you live an experience. Stroll the aisles, listen, watch, let yourself be carried away – and leave inspired by all these discoveries.
