Attention 9th Art fans! In a superb Art Nouveau building designed by Victor Horta, many original drawings and unpublished documents have been brought together at the Musée de la BD to delight comic book fans. Choco Story: the chocolate museum
Welcome to the Eldorado of brown gold: the Cocoa and Chocolate Museum, better known as “Choco Story“. In this interactive museum, located close to the town hall in a 17th-century building with 2 galleries entirely dedicated to chocolate, young and old alike can discover the bean in all its forms, learn all the secrets of chocolate-making, from harvesting to boxing, learn how to make a bar from A to Z duringoriginal demonstration workshops, and even taste Belgian pralines or chocolate during the visit.

Considered one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia and nicknamed the Village of the Book, Redu is home to a museum like no other. In this 2.0 museum, you can touch the works of art and interact with them in all sorts of ways, thanks to interactive terminals. In this way, you and your children can travel through 7 centuries of art history, discovering over 300 original and reproduced works in a playful way!
A boat trip to the Bois de la Cambre
The Bois de la Cambre is an ideal place for a family outing. Picnics, walks, jogging, horse-riding… It offers a wide range of family and sporting activities. One option we don’t often think about is boating. Did you know that you can make your visit even more fun by renting a boat to Robinson Island? On the lake, you can rent one of the 50 boats identical to those in the legendary “Central Park” for 15 euros an hour or 10 euros a half-hour. Bonus: life jackets are available.
A good waffle to enjoy with the family
It’s a well-known fact that children love sugar. And after playing at Bubble Planet, visiting the Comic Strip Museum and working out in the Bois de la Cambre, a good waffle is well deserved! For a tasty family treat, we recommend a visit to Maison Dandoy: a Belgian institution, since it’s the oldest cookie factory in Brussels! A treat for young and old alike.
