Brussels takes on a Swedish accent with the opening of an ephemeral café by IKEA. The furniture giant has taken over the Living Room, transforming this cozy space into a gourmet design showcase. A Scandinavian interlude to discover until May 7, and Bruxelles Secrète tells you all about it!
A little corner of Sweden in the heart of Brussels
To mark the launch of its new STOCKHOLM 2025 collection, IKEA has decided to set up an ephemeral café in the heart of the European Quarter. For a month, the Living Room is transformed into an immersive showcase, where every object in the décor is taken from the brand’s most accomplished collection. With its natural materials, uncluttered aesthetic and inspiration from the Swedish capital, this special edition gives pride of place to craftsmanship and the Nordic way of life.
Swedish coffee break
But watch out! This pop-up isn’t just pretty: it’s also delicious. Inspired by the Scandinavian ritual of “Fika”, the menu features coffees, Swedish sweets and even a must-try original creation: the “IKEA Bun”, a brioche filled with vegetable dumplings. All prepared on site by the Living Room team, for a coffee break that’s both gourmet and super-stylish!
A design experience to enjoy (and win?)
Visitors can sit back, observe, touch – and maybe even take home one of the pieces in the collection! As a bonus, IKEA is offering visitors the chance to win one of 20 €100 vouchers, perfect for giving your home a makeover after a trip to the café. The pop-up is open until May 7, but the furniture will be available from April 10 in stores and online. The perfect opportunity to combine decorating inspiration and culinary pleasure, right in the center of our capital!
📍 Address: IKEA, Place Jean Rey 8, 1040 Brussels
