Crupet, a beautiful village to visit not far from Brussels
Crupet is part of the association of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia. Its rolling landscape, crisscrossed by numerous streams, gives it a soothing and peaceful atmosphere. But don’t think that this small village of 539 residents lacks things to see! Its remarkable architectural heritage, dating from the 13th to the 19th century, is full of hidden gems worth visiting.
A must-see during your visit to Crupet : the Carondelet keep. This 13th-century fortified tower was converted into a castle-farm in the 16th century. Listed as part of Wallonia’s exceptional heritage, it is surrounded by a moat, just like in the Middle Ages. Next, the Saint-Antoine Grotto and its unique architecture are also worth seeing! This man-made grotto dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua was built in the early 20th century by Father Joseph Gérard and the villagers.

The presbytery— a traditional sandstone building dating from 1654—is located on the church square. Right next to it stands a magnificent, centuries-old linden tree.
