Courtroom dramas have never been so popular on Brussels stages. Once again this summer, the capital’s audience is confirming its strong preference for interactive productions where the line between the stage and the courtroom completely disappears.

On August 24, the Bruxellons! Festival ( a must-see event on the Brussels summer scene, celebrating its 28th edition this year) is making a big splash with Impro Justitia 2026. Led by “impro-attorney general” Bruno Coppens, this zany mock trial brings together actors and real lawyers to judge… the French language! While the performance at the Château du Karreveld is already sold out, it confirms the wild success of this theatrical genre in the capital.
