It’s THE question we ask each other every time we visit our favorite waffle-makers: do you prefer your waffles Liège-style, or Brussels-style? To find out, we launched a poll on the subject on our social networks, and the result is overwhelming! So, which style of waffle do you prefer? Here’s the answer.
Poll: what’s your favorite waffle? You told us
If you follow us on Facebook and Instagram, you know we love to ask you questions about our beloved Brussels. So we launched a poll on these two platforms: Brussels or Liège waffles, which is your favorite? Many of you responded, and here are the results…
Liège waffle vs Brussels waffle (with “Both” option)
- Liège waffle: 47.46% 🏆
- Brussels Waffle: 28.81
- Both: 23.73
After a few calculations, and counting the “Both” option (yes, after all, why choose?), 47.46% of you preferred Liège waffles to Brussels waffles, which attracted just 28.81% of aficionados. The greediest among you, who could never make up your mind, kindly said “Both! You were still 23.73% in this case.
Liège waffle vs. Brussels waffle: the real winner
We’re sorry, but life is made up of choices… and the choice of the best waffle is crucial! If we exclude the “Both” option and count only the most fervent defenders of their waffle, the result is overwhelming! The Liège version wins again, by a long way!
- Liège waffle: 62.22% 🏆
- Brussels waffle: 37.78
Round (some would say oval) and sweet on the inside, the Liège waffle is probably the best known in the world and the easiest to find in the rest of Belgium. The Brussels waffle, rectangular and sweet on top, is more airy and is generally found in the capital accompanied by a bevy of assortments and fruit on top.
Whatever the case, both are true delights! By any chance, isn’t it time for a waffle?
