A look back: On July 16, the Dour Festival experienced one of the most memorable moments of its 2026 edition. Shortly after 2:10 a.m., asAmélie Lens was wrapping up her set on the Main Stage, Angèle took the stage for a completely unexpected appearance. Together, the two artists gave an exclusive premiere of “Run, ” a previously unreleased track that instantly electrified the audience.
The moment held special significance for the Belgian DJ: it was at Dour, in 2016, thatAmélie Lens had taken her very first steps behind the turntables. Ten years later, here she is headlining the Main Stage, with a special guest by her side.
A long-awaited collaboration between the two artists
Following this festival-style teaser, here’s the official announcement: “Run” is set to be released this Friday, August 7, 2026, via Sony Music and the EXHALE Records label. On her social media, Angèle revealed that the two artists had been discussing the idea of going into the studio together for quite some time.
This track, at the crossroads of pop and techno, blends the fast-paced percussion and futuristic sounds characteristic of Amélie Lens with Angèle’s delicate voice. The Belgian DJ herself explains this artistic collaboration: Angèle was the only voice she could imagine on this track, adding that she’s been a long-time fan of hers.
The only collaboration on the album AURA, expected in September
Notably, “Run” is the only collaboration featured on *AURA*, Amélie Lens’s debut studio album, set for release on September 4. This choice underscores just how special this collaboration between the two Belgians is to the artist.
Meanwhile, Angèle is also keeping her own career in the spotlight, between promoting her single “Dis-le” and preparing her third studio album, *Instinct*, expected by the end of the year. Amélie Lens, for her part, is scheduled to perform on August 8 at Plages Électroniques in Cannes—enough to fuel the hopes of fans who are already dreaming of another surprise appearance by Angèle to perform “Run” live.
