Bike rides are great. Bike rides punctuated by craft beer tastings are even better! This summer, Walloon Brabant is launching the Brassicole Tour, a new three-day getaway that invites food and drink enthusiasts to explore the province in a whole new way.
An adventure where every pedal stroke tells a story
Starting from Louvain-la-Neuve, participants ride along country roads to visit some of Walloon Brabant’s most iconic sites. Villers-la-Ville Abbey, the Brasserie de l’Orne in Mont-Saint-Guibert, the Mont-Saint-Jean Farm in Waterloo… But the Solvay Regional Estate and Lake Genval are also on the itinerary for this getaway, which showcases both the scenery and local flavors.
The concept is unique. Because here, we don’t just visit breweries! The tour invites you to discover the four ingredients that go into making beer. Hops , malt, yeast, and water serve as the common thread throughout a weekend filled with tastings, sensory workshops, meetings with passionate brewers , and explanations from a zythologist. There’s even a beer quiz to test your knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere.
Just two weekends to enjoy it
The Brassicole Tour is offered only from August 14–16 and September 25–27, 2026. The package includes two nights at Martin’s Louvain-la-Neuve, breakfasts, and lunches. It also includes all tours, tastings, a beer-and-food pairing dinner, and transportation for purchases made over the weekend. Electric bikes are highly recommended to fully enjoy the rolling hills of Walloon Brabant.
Prices start at €429 per person in a double room or €579 in a single room. With only two sessions scheduled this year, this new getaway could quickly attract fans of slow tourism… and great beer.
