For once, it’s not the humans who decide the weekend’s schedule! On September 26 and 27, Tour & Taxis officially goes four-legged with the return of Woofstock, the Brussels festival entirely dedicated to dogs —and, incidentally, to their humans.
A festival where your dog is sure to have a blast
Here, there’s no such thing as just strolling past a few booths before heading home. For two days, Woofstock transforms Tour & Taxis into a veritable playground for four-legged friends. On the agenda: sports activities, workshops, demonstrations, and relaxation areas.
Dogs will be able to try their hand at Treibball, Hoopers, canicross, or Dog Parkour. They can also watch dog dancing demonstrations or participate in workshops to learn new tricks. And because such a busy day calls for a few breaks, the program also includes Doga—in other words, yoga with your dog—as well as canine massages in a Chill Zone dedicated to relaxation.
This year, it all starts with the nose
The big new feature of this third edition is called the Odyssey of the Senses. It’s a unique, immersive scent trail designed to let dogs explore the world the way they naturally do: with their noses.
It’s a pretty logical idea when you consider that our four-legged friends don’t experience their surroundings the same way we do. After this initial sensory experience, the visit continues at the 100% dog-focused market, featuring accessories, treats, and other finds to take home… if your dog lets you choose.
Talks for humans, swimming pools for dogs
Woofstock doesn’t forget about the owners either. The Barkademy will host several conferences and meetings with canine experts, while workshops will help you better understand how dogs interact with one another.
And between activities? Head to the ball pit or the water pool before setting off on another adventure. In short, it’s hard to say who’ll have the better weekend—but this time, the dogs clearly have the upper hand!
