The former Voltaire location has just undergone a makeover. After several months of renovations, the venue has become Largo, a new Italian concept conceived by Litvine Society and opened on September 19, 2026. What makes it special? Two adjacent spaces, a shared kitchen, and a shared desire to bring Italy to life—from morning coffee to the last drink of the evening.
Fresh pasta made on-site

On Place Brugmann, Cantina Largo welcomes guests from morning to night. You can start your day there with an espresso, a maritozzo, or a savory focaccia, before returning for lunch, aperitivo, or dinner. In the kitchen, Sardinian chef Giovanni Murgia—formerly at the helm of Variétés—focuses on hearty, simple Italian cuisine centered around quality ingredients.
At the heart of the restaurant, the pastificio crafts the fresh pasta served at the tables every day. The menu features dishes such as spaghetti alla Nerano, pappardelle with duck ragù, ricotta-and-spinach mezzelune with sage butter, and paccheri with three types of tomatoes. With its terrace on the square, Cantina Largo also aims to be a place where guests can linger over a few dishes and a drink.
A focacceria where you can take a little bit of Italy home with you
A few meters further on, near Avenue Louis Lepoutre, Bottega Largo has a more compact layout. Halfway between a focacceria, an Italian deli, and a gourmet shop, this second location offers focaccias, fresh pasta, lasagna, and dishes prepared in Cantina’s kitchens. You’ll also find a selection of Italian products and wines from La Botte.
So at Largo, you can set your own pace! Sit down at a table, grab a quick bite , or put together an Italian dinner to go. Both spaces are open seven days a week, with the goal of making this new spot a gourmet hotspot in Saint-Gilles. Come for lunch, stay for an aperitivo… and leave with a focaccia for the next day.
