On May 9, the Brussels-Capital Region will celebrate its 37th anniversary. Historically spread over two days, the 2026 edition will, however, focus solely on Saturday, May 9, for the festive portion, following budget adjustments, making every moment of this celebration even more precious.

Of course, one of the Fête de l’Iris’s greatest assets is that it’s free, allowing everyoneto enjoy the festivities without cost. The city’s heart will beat mainly in the European Quarter during the day, before shifting to the majestic Place des Palais for the evening. To make getting around easier, the STIB is adjusting its services, as access to the city center will be prioritized for local transit. So come and enjoy this unique day, designed to bring people of all backgrounds together around a shared goal: celebrating Brussels.
