The Châtelain neighborhood welcomes a new spot that aims to put the brasserie back at the heart of Brussels life: the restaurant Le Guépard. A lively and bright spot where people come as much for a meal as for a drink on the terrace, featuring hearty cuisine inspired by the great classics.
A new brasserie designed as a place to live
The Châtelain neighborhood was missing a true brasserie capable of welcoming Brussels residents from lunchtime through the evening. That’s now a reality with this new spot led by Léopold van der Gracht, Tanguy Soille, and Charles Levie, who are already behind several popular spots in the capital. Their ambition remains the same. To create a warm, welcoming place where guests feel at home, with a special focus on atmosphere, service, and the desire to return. Located at the corner of two streets, the brasserie featuresa large, sun-drenched terrace and an interior designed to accommodate a variety of occasions, from business lunches to dinners with friends.
Brasserie classics on the menu
In the kitchen, the focus is on a refined take on the must-try dishes of Belgian and French tradition. On the menu: shrimp croquettes, cheese croquettes, vol-au-vent, carbonade, américain, and jambonneau… All served with a clear commitment to offering simple yet perfectly executed dishes. Chef Alexandre Cardoso, former owner of Les Caves d’Alex, brings his experience to bear on an entirely homemade cuisine, based on seasonal produce and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. The beverage menu rounds out the experience with a selection of some sixty wines and a spotlight on Brussels microbreweries.
A place to take your time
Open seven days a week from noon to midnight, this new brasserie aims to become a true gathering spot. In the afternoon, the spot will also offer small plates to share, as well as homemade terrines and pâtés to enjoy with a drink. With its rounded decor, various seating areas, and spacious terrace, it’s built on a simple idea… to provide a place where people can come often, for any occasion, and always find a spot.
