The start of the school year marks the return of meetings, packed schedules, and lunches eaten a little too quickly. In Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, one brasserie aims to bring a little more enjoyment back to the lunch break: Le Shake is launching a €26 business lunch, with a new menu every week. This set menu lets you enjoy a restaurant-quality lunch without turning the meal into a three-hour affair.
A chic brasserie with a Parisian flair

Located in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, Le Shake isn’t really a newcomer. The restaurant’s history dates back to 1998, when the family took over Shake Hands. Since then, the restaurant has adopted a new identity, with a decor inspired by contemporary Parisian brasseries: wood, brass, soft lighting, and a large central bar.
The same spirit shines through on the plates. The cuisine is homemade and puts a fresh spin on the great classics of French brasserie fare, including Burgundy snails, bone marrow, veal kidneys, hand-chopped beef tartare, and vol-au-vent with veal sweetbreads—one of the house specialties.
Two courses for €26

For lunch, Le Shake switches to express mode—but not too much. Monday through Friday at lunchtime, excluding holidays, the business lunch offers a starter + main course or main course + dessert for 26 €. And the menu changes every week depending on the chef’s inspiration.
On the menu this week: shrimp roll with Sriracha mayonnaise, vitello tonnato with capers and arugula, followed by roasted chicken breast with tarragon sauce and potato croquettes or linguine alle vongole. To top it off, a tarte Tatin with vanilla ice cream and caramel provides a sweet finish.
And if the sun decides to stick around, head out to the large terrace for lunch al fresco. After all, the best way to get back into the September swing of things might simply be to step out of the office at noon!
