An unmissable rendezvous for contemporary photography, the PhotoBrussels Festival has established itself as a major event that “gives Brussels its place as a key player on the international photography scene”. For its 10ᵉ edition, the festival will take over 52 venues across the European capital, transforming galleries, cultural centers and exhibition spaces into veritable meeting places for artists and audiences.
The program, particularly rich and plural, explores a wide variety of viewpoints, artistic approaches and themes. Galerie Zwart Huis, for example, will present the work of Belgian photographers Peter H. Waterschoot and Stefan Peters, focusing on the tension between rupture and renewal. At the Maison d’Art d’Uccle, Anne-Françoise Tasnier and Benoît Feron will take us on a photographic journey to meet indigenous peoples, while the Centre Culturel Jacques Franck will host the exhibition Work, bringing together Belgian, French and Syrian photographers to reflect on the world of work and its contemporary realities.
The PhotoBrussels Festival will run for almost a month throughout the city, accompanied by numerous activities – meetings, guided tours, discussions and events – making Brussels a veritable crossroads for contemporary photography.
PhotoBrussels Days – the inaugural weekend of encounters and discovery
