The new Nocturlabe restaurant illuminates Schaerbeek with its nuanced bistronomy. In a hushed atmosphere, brothers Benoît and Anthony Bodivit reinvent the art of entertaining with a rare sincerity. Here, we dine by the light of the stars – those of the sky, but above all those of taste!
A discreet star in the Schaerbeek sky
Just one step down Rue Josse Impens and you’ll sense that something is afoot. Nocturlabe reveals an intimate room where wood, ceramics and soft lighting invite you to relax. No demonstrative decor: elegance is in the detail, the gesture, the silence between two glasses. Sixteen place settings only, a terrace dormant until spring, and an herb garden whispering to the kitchen. Here, everything seems measured to the millimeter – like a navigator following his star.
Bistronomy that speaks volumes

In the kitchen, Benoît Bodivit – a graduate of Villa Lorraine and Comme Chez Soi – composes a menu that changes with the seasons. There’s nothing set in stone about his bistronomy: it breathes, evolves and tells its own story through five courses and as many emotions. Vegetables take their rightful place, local products express themselves without artifice, and each plate gives the impression of having found its exact place. Trimmings become broths, peelings are transformed into oils or pickles – precision work that speaks as much of respect as of gourmandise.
An anchored restaurant, eyes turned towards the open sea

In the dining room, Nahida leads the way in living wines: biodynamic, Belgian or from elsewhere, they follow the rhythm of the menus. Anthony Bodivit, a former engineer turned passionate host, ensures that every detail exudes hospitality. Nocturlabe is more than just a restaurant: it’s a nocturnal compass for those who like to dine to the rhythm of the seasons, between land and sea, between Brussels and elsewhere.
