For two days, the gardens and salons of the Château de Lavaux-Sainte-Anne will take on the air of a Venetian palace. On July 25 and 26, the event “Les Costumés de Venise” will feature a parade of more than 130 masked characters in an exceptional historical setting. Throughout the weekend, more than 130 costumed enthusiasts will take over the gardens and the 32 furnished rooms of the Château de Lavaux-Sainte-Anne, treating visitors to living tableaux at every turn. The highlight of the day, the Grand Parade, will begin at 3:00 p.m. This will be followed by processions that continue until 5:30 p.m. Far from the festive and exuberant atmosphere of traditional carnivals, the event emphasizes elegance, the meticulous details of the costumes, and the magic of an exceptional heritage. Exhibition, craft market, and activities for the whole family
The Costumed Festival of Venice isn’t just about the parades. Throughout the day, visitors can explore a costume exhibition in the Bergerie space. They can also stroll among the stalls of a craft market or visit the castle’s museums. All of this is included with admission to the event. Younger visitors can enjoy inflatable castles while adults take a break at the bar or the snack area.
