Walibi Belgium is celebrating its 50th anniversary in style with the arrival of a brand new immersive zone: Dock World. This new area, inspired by an industrial port, will be home to several revisited attractions and a major new feature: Mecalodon,the largest family roller coaster in the Benelux. An experience that promises to make waves as early as 2025!
Dock World: the port world that will transform Walibi
Following on from Exotic World, Karma World and Fun World, Walibi Belgium continues its metamorphosis with the launch of Dock World, a port-set zone where industrial meets maritime adventure. The central feature? An imposing 15-metre lighthouse that guides visitors through an immersive universe. In addition to its attractions, Dock World will feature stores, restaurants and even a dedicated relaxation area for a complete experience.
Mecalodon: a family roller coaster with unprecedented sensations
The highlight of the show is Mecalodon, a roller coaster inspired by megalodon, the giant extinct shark. Accessible from 1 metre, it promises thrills for the whole family, with a 925-metre course punctuated by three magnetic propulsions and 14 airtimes. Imagine yourself hurtling through the waves in a mechanical shark, hurtling along at 65 km/h at water’s edge… A first for Walibi and a flagship attraction for thrill-seekers!
Walibi classics revisited and corrected
But Dock World is not limited to Mecalodon! Several of the park’s historic attractions will be completely re-themed to fit into this new universe. The legendary Psyké Underground will revert to its original name, Turbine, while Flash Back gets a makeover. Even the children’s attractions will get a facelift: Dragon Boat becomes Stormy, with sailboats instead of drakkars, and Salsa y Fiesta is transformed into Tous en boîte.
Total immersion, between sensations and delicacies
Walibi’s new attractions are all about the total experience, and Dock World is no exception. Upon exiting the attractions, visitors land in the Cannery Factory. This is a large hall where stores and souvenirs await them. On the food front, two new addresses will delight gourmets: Hungry Sharky and Light House Café, where the harbour atmosphere will be found right down to the plate.
