What if your next night out at Walibi started with a few kilometers of night running before continuing on to the rides? On Friday, December 4, Walibi Belgium is launching the first winter edition of its Walibi Run, with a course through the heart of the park, all lit up for the holidays . It’s a pretty unique way to combine physical activity, thrills, and the Christmas spirit.
A race through the paths… and behind the scenes
Participants can choose between two distances: 5 or 10 km, on the same 5-km loop to be completed once or twice. The race will be timed and will feature an official ranking, with podium ceremonies and awards for the top three men and women in each distance.
But the appeal of the course isn’t just the athletic challenge. The race will pass through several areas of the park, including sections that are usually hard to access and sometimes very dimly lit. A headlamp is therefore required, and clothing suitable for the weather conditions is strongly recommended.
After the race, it’s time for rides and Christmas decorations
Starting at 7 p.m., runners can extend their evening in several areas of Walibi Winter. On the agenda: attractions like the Loup-Garou, Calamity Mine, Dalton Terror, and Wave Swinger, as well as a Christmas market, toboggan runs, and dining areas.
This evening will also be one of the last opportunities to ride the Loup-Garou, the famous wooden roller coaster set to cease operations permanently on January 3, 2027. Participants can therefore turn their run into a sort of final winter adventure in the park. A wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit!
