This famous Brussels restaurant has one of the best Waterzooï in the capital
Imagine strolling through the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert, one of Brussels’ architectural jewels, when suddenly a delicious smell of Belgian cuisine tickles your nostrils! Welcome to Le Marmiton, a little corner of gastronomic paradise nestled in the heart of the capital since 1979. Here, the Beja family, with Toni at the helm and his children trained at the École Hôtelière de Namur, concocts local specialties and seafood to make even the most discerning gourmets salivate.
It’s here, in this typical Brussels restaurant, that you can enjoy the famous Waterzooï. Le Marmiton’s chefs prepare it with fish à la gantoise, mussels and crunchy vegetables. This gourmet dish costs 29 euros. There’s also an “earthy” version with poultry waterzooï à la gantoise (25 euros). But this isn’t the only Belgian specialty on the menu! Croquettes and mussels are sublimated by different ingredients. And for dessert, there’s the unmissable Brussels waffle! So don’t forget your baggy pants!
