You can enjoy the authenticity of a Mongolian yurt, while staying warm and cosy, surrounded by one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands. In this unspoilt forest, wildlife abounds: badgers, foxes, deer and a multitude of birds await you, providing the perfect setting to relax and reconnect with nature.
Activities and comfort in the heart of nature
But there’s much more to do than simply relax. You can take part in bread-making workshops, learn to chop wood, or relax with a yoga session in the heart of nature. For the more adventurous, an instructor can introduce you to the benefits of a dip in the icy waters of a lake, or you can set off on a short hike in the forest. Winterwoods guests stay in traditional Mongolian yurts, designed to withstand temperatures much colder than those in the Netherlands. You’ll be sheltered from the cold by cozy blankets, plaids and a wood-burning stove. The furnishings are simple but comfortable, and the atmosphere is incredibly cosy.
Prices vary, but expect to pay around €180 per person for two nights during the week, and €240 for a weekend.
