Every winter, we look forward to the return of light festivals. But if there’s one we wouldn’t miss for the world, it’s the Bright Brussels Festival. For its 10ᵉ edition, the organizers are pulling out all the stops with some great new features. One thing remains unchanged: the festivities are free and open to all. So really, no excuse not to go!
An impressive light trail through the heart of Brussels
In 2026, Brussels Light will take place from February 12 to 15, and like every year, it will shine on Brussels’ most emblematic landmarks. You’ll be able to admire some twenty never-before-seen works by Belgian and international artists. From the Parc Royal to the Mont des Arts, via the Place Royale and the Monnaie, the entire historic center will sparkle for four magical nights, from 6.30pm to 11pm.
And don’t forget to stop off at the Bright Brussels Market to pick up some bargains. With the family? Bright Brussels Kids is perfect for the little ones. And for a gourmet break, the Bright Brussels Café is sure to please everyone.
A magical festival that attracts more and more visitors every year
As you can imagine, the city is completely transformed during this magical and poetic event. Every year, the festivities attract more and more curious visitors. In 2024, no fewer than 450,000 visitors dreamed of the glittering spectacle and innovative projections.
Tasty new additions to the Bright Brussels Festival in 2026
In 2026, new surprises are in store, including a culinary village featuring local producers and Brussels chefs. So it won’t just be a visual treat: taste and smell will also be part of the experience, and we’re clearly not going to complain.
All the details of this year’s edition have yet to be revealed, but the initial details are very appealing. Just imagining Brussels illuminated is enough to fill our eyes with wonder. And if you can’t wait until February, the Ballet Of Lights light ballets or the spectacular Luminescence show at Saints-Michel-et-Gudule Cathedral should already fill you with wonder.
