Things are happening at Forest! The proof is in the pudding: the Forest Sounds festival returns for another edition on August 29 and 30, 2025. For the 4th year, it takes place at Forest Abbey. This peaceful, emblematic site is the perfect place for you to come and get your groove on, with family or friends.
Musical, civic-minded and 100% accessible, this Brussels event promises two days of concerts, workshops, encounters and the kind of atmosphere we love. The full line-up is coming soon, but we can already announce a notable headliner: cult Brussels DJ Lefto Early Bird.
And guess what else? Admission is free! That means everyone can choose how much they want to contribute, with the option of free entry if they wish. However, a donation of 5 euros or more is encouraged when booking tickets.
To get in, however, you’ll need a ticket for those aged 15 and over, which you can obtain :
– online via the ticketing service,
– or directly on site, at the festival entrance (open for the duration of the event).
A Belgian and international line-up, with Lefto as headliner
An emblematic figure on the Brussels music scene (and far beyond), Lefto Early Bird will be on hand to rock the Abbaye de Forest with a DJ set that only he knows the secret of. The selecteur the whole world envies is known for his eclectic sets mixing hip-hop, jazz, electro and world music. A perfect cocktail for summer dancing and chilling out. Of course, the prodigy won’t be alone on one of the festival’s two stages. Other bands such as La Chiva Gantiva, Another Taste and Nena will also be taking you on a journey. Good news: there‘s something for everyone!

Forest Sounds Festival: a chill atmosphere in a venue steeped in history
This year, the Abbaye de Forest is the place to be. And we love it: it’s one of the city’s most beautiful and peaceful venues. With its large park, this jewel of neo-classical style offers an ideal green setting to relax in. Here, the idea is above all to get together. So you’ll find a village of associations and activities for young and old. There will also be participatory workshops, committed stands and food trucks. All in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. As usual, the organizers have thought of an environmentally-friendly approach: with reusable cups, waste sorting, and the promotion of soft mobility (come by bike, streetcar or bus).
Whether you’re a Lefto fan, curious to discover the local scene or simply looking for a good thing to do in August in Brussels, don’t wait any longer. Add Forest Sounds to your agenda.
Due to renovation work inside the Abbey and on the Place Saint-Denis forecourt, entry will now be via rue des Abbesses, opposite the Forest town hall.
