Brussels has never been afraid to party, but this time it’s time to eat! A former Top Chef arrives in Ixelles with an ephemeral pop-up that turns gourmet delights into a veritable manifesto. For a month, we’ll forget the diktats of “healthy eating” to celebrate pleasure, the real thing: between decadent plates, complicit laughter and hearty cocktails.
A pop-up for self-confessed hedonists
From October 8 to November 1, the Soma restaurant on Place Albert Leemans in Ixelles will be hosting the Plaisirs Coupables pop-up, the brainchild of Marseille chef César Lewandowski, revealed on Top Chef. The idea is simple: one month to put pleasure back at the center of the table. The setting is sober but warm, the soundtrack makes you want to toast, and the dishes are enjoyed in a hushed atmosphere.
A menu that’s both decadent and refined

The cheerfully excessive cuisine oscillates between luxury and nostalgia. On the menu: scallop pizza, giant chips dipped in raw cream and trout roe, udon carbonara or warm chocolate mousse with praline and hazelnut. Each dish flirts with “too much”, but always with precision and panache. The message is clear: at Plaisirs Coupables, pleasure is an emotion that we embrace, not justify.
The party at the end of the fork
With just forty covers, the place retains a confidential, almost clandestine feel. Soma’s signature cocktails accompany this hushed cabaret atmosphere, where everything invites you to let go. This pop-up, at the crossroads of refinement and gourmandise, gives back to Brussels what it loves best. And it’s a good dose of audacity, sharing and pleasure – without moderation!
