The Small is Beautiful miniature art exhibition
Don’t delay: you only have until April 7 to visit this surprising exhibition featuring miniature art ! After an unprecedented success in New York, London and Paris (with a total of over 200,000 visitors), Small is Beautiful is delighting the hearts of Brussels residents with an exhibition that’s as cute as a button. At number 5 on the Grand Place, visitors will find hyper-realistic models, figurines installed in miniature settings and even micro-art visible only through a magnifying glass or microscope, displayed at unexpected angles. Installations, a video area, a treasure hunt and participatory workshops: the scenography is particularly well put together.

30 years of the Fuse Club
A year ago, Fuse took up residence for the first time in Quadrilatères, a huge underground space located beneath the railway tracks at Brussels’ Gare du Midi , to celebrate the club ‘s 29th anniversary. For once, Fuse is celebrating its 30th anniversary. From April 5 to 7, 2024, the techno club is offering a full weekend of festivities to celebrate its three decades in the clubbing industry. And to mark the occasion, a new vinyl compilation featuring 30 tracks by national and international artists who have graced the club’s glory days (and nights). More info and tickets here.

Magritte: The Immersive Experience
The first immersive experience dedicated to Magritte has opened its doors in Brussels. This 360° digital show has been installed at Galerie Horta, following on from Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience. On the program: a complete immersion in the life and work of the surrealist painter, with 300 digitized works brought to life before our very eyes thanks to cutting-edge technology!

The exhibition James Ensor. Inspired by Brussels
A ball of the dead, carnival masks and skeletons in disguise… All the expressionist and sarcastic essence of the work of painter James Ensor (born in Ostend) is represented in an exhibition inspired by Brussels, showing the strong ties that unite him with the city, as in his best-known painting The Entry of Christ into Brussels. And for total immersion, the works (drawings, engravings and paintings) are exhibited in the palace of Charles de Lorraine, where the artist used to stay at the time. On view until June 2024.

My First Swan Lake” show
With Mon Premier Lac des Cygnes, Tchaikovsky’s famous ballet is presented to young audiences in a specially adapted choreography. On the program: an original family show to be performed at several of Brussels’ leading cultural venues, including the Koekelberg Basilica, the 5th largest church in the world, on April 28, the Uccle Cultural Center on April 30, and Wolubilis on May 4, 2024.

Floralia flower festival
Whether you’ve got a green thumb or not, a visit to the magnificent park of the Château de Grand-Bigard when the flowers are in bloom is truly one of the finest outings you can make in spring. In total, over a million flowers are planted in the gardens of this pretty château for Floralia, the incredible floral festival, which returns for its 21st edition from April 5 to May 2, 2024.

Titanic Exhibition
Tour et Taxis is the setting for a titanic exhibition. Spread over an area of more than 1,500 square meters, numerous archives have been assembled to take you back into the history of the greatest shipwreck of all time. Titanic L’Exposition presents over 200 real objects recovered from the wreck site and brought to the surface by underwater research director Paul-Henri Nargeolet and his teams, as well as poignant accounts from passengers. With a comprehensive audio guide, this chronological tour promises to captivate the curious visitor to Brussels.

Brussels Short Film Festival
From April 24 to May 4, 2024, the Brussels Short Film Festival returns, one of the most eagerly awaited annual rendez-vous among Brussels film buffs. This year, for the 27th edition, the competition will present 48 films selected from over 300 entries received in 2024. Festival highlights include free screenings, 3 competitions (International, National, Next Generation), the Nuit du Court, and the “soirée du festival”. Night owls beware… More info and tickets here.

Botanical Nights 2024
From April 24 to May 5, 2024, Les Nuits Botanique returns with a 31st edition showcasing the local Belgian scene. This year’s festival program features an eclectic mix of local and international musicians. Be warned: there’s something for everyone! Whether in the intimate setting of the Rotonde or on the big outdoor stage in the Chapiteau. “Les Nuits” will open the festival season. More info and tickets here.

Art Brussels
From April 25 to 28, 2024, Art Brussels, an international art fair that each year brings together gallery owners, young artists and renowned artists, art lovers and collectors, will be held at Tours et Taxis. A true European platform for painters and sculptors, this event gives visibility to the major players in contemporary art in Brussels. Visit the Royal Greenhouses at Laeken
At this time of year, the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken are temporarily reopened. An annual visit is a must! From April 26 to May 20, 2024, you can enjoy an idyllic journey through thousands of plants of all kinds. Spread over more than 1.5 hectares, the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken comprise a total of 36 glass pavilions, including an orangery and a fabulous winter garden. Perfect for a foretaste of spring in the capital.
